A 문장형식 (중3) 5형식

문장형식 1~4까지는 지난 posting을 보도록 한다.

오늘은
5형식 = 주어 S + 서술어V + 목적어 O + 목적격 보어 O.C ( = 불완전타동사 )

S가 O를 O.C 하도록 (하다고) V 하다.

5형식은 O와 O.C가 서로 관련이 있다
O.C가 O와 동일하거나 (=이때의 O.C는 명사보어)
O.C가 O를 보충설명한다. (=이때의 O.C는 형용사보어)

**목적어는 밑줄 (주어처럼 해석되어서)
목적격보어는 짙은 색 ( 서술어처럼 해석되어서)

목적격 보어 자리 O.C에 형용사나 명사가 올 수 있는데
O가 O.C 하도록 (하다고)라고 해석되고
O와 O.C는 2형식의 주어와 보어처럼 행동한다.

We found the seats very comfortable.
우리는 the seats were very comfortable를 알아챘다
처럼 해석하면 된다.

They chose Paul chairperson.
그들은 Paul was chairperson으로 선택했다.
로 해석하면 된다.

My father painted the fence yellow.
He named his dog Popcorn.
The girs thought him kind and generous.
The babysitter kept the children amused for hours.

O.C 자리에 동사가 올 수 있다.
to 부정사의 형태로 오는 경우가 대부분이다.
O가 O.C 하다 로 해석되는데
O와 O.C가 주어와 서술어처럼 행동한다.

I want you to finish your work by 6:00 p.m.
나는 you finish your work 를 원한다.
로 해석하면 된다.

They don't expect him to become a successful director.
그들은 He becomes a successful director.를 예상하지 못했다.
로 해석하면 된다.

Banks encouraged people to borrow money.
The doctor advised my brother to stop eating junk food.
His health forced him to retire early.

그런데 V 자리에
사역동사 (make, have, let)이 오거나
지각동사 (listen to, hear, watch, feel, see, notice) 가 오면
O.C 자리에는 to 부정사를 쓰지 못한다.

I'll let him know the result.
나는 he knows the result 하도록 시켰다.
him을 주어처럼 know the result를 동사처럼 해석하면 된다.

I watched her do the dishes.
I heard the bird singing.
I saw you putting the key in your bag.
The mother watched her kids playing in the playground.
She felt a hand touching her hair.
They're listening to the orchestra play Schubert.
She couldn't make herself understood in Spanish.
The teacher made students stand in line.

V 자리에 help가 오면
to 부정사와 동사원형
둘 다 가능하다.

Chris helped his mom to make the shelf.
Chris helped his mom make the shelf.

V 자리에 get이 오면 to 부정사를 원칙으로 한다.
I got him to clean his car.
I will get his car (to be) cleaned by him.
목적격보어 자리에
to be p.p 형태가 to be ~ing 형태가 오면
to be가 생략되는 경우가 많다.

5형식의 O.C자리에
과거분사(p.p)와 현재분사(~ing)가 오는 경우가 많은데
이것은 분사공부할 때
자세히 다뤄보도록 한다.
